WINDOWS PHONE 9 RUMORS: RELEASE DATE, SPECS, FEATURES EXPECTATIONS

While there are several rumors being spread about Windows Phone Blue OS is going to be the next successor of Windows Phone 8 OS, there is controversy news reporting that WindowsPhone 9 will be the next successor of Windows Phone 8 OS and not Windows Blue. As a matter of fact, we all are sure that Microsoft is constantly involving its windows mobile team to concentrate on introducing next version Windows phone operating system into the market.

During a recent survey, it has been found that in an MSFTKitchen report, there was a statement from a Microsoft Associate indicating that “Working as asoftware test engineer in the Windows PhoneTest Services team currently testing Windows 9 OS onNokia, HTC and Qualcomm device.” Based on her profile in LinkedIn account, it seems that she is a test engineer working in the mobile team of Microsoft Corporation, and by comparing with the statement reported by MSFTKitchen, it can be logically concluded that she is indicating Windows Phone 9 Operating system will be the next version of Windows Phone 8.

During an interview with Greg Sullivan, the Senior Marketing Manager at Microsoft Corporation, Sullivan did mention about the flexibility and possibility of Windows Phone 8 customers to upgrade their device OS to next OS version whereas earlier this was not the case with WindowsPhone 7 customers. To achieve this Microsoft mobile team will work towards the hardware independent firmware which is portable and flexible enough to all hardware.

With its incessant effort in mobile platform, Microsoft has gained its brand image in the mobile sector in the mid of several competition from other vendors. However, it is high time for Microsoft to act and fortify its position further as lot of innovations and trends are being evolved in this mobile segment. So, it is imperative that Redmond based computer giant has to release its new mobile OS version in a short period of time.

It seems several hardware suppliers like HTC, Nokia and Qualcomm will act as active supporting partners for Microsoft and back up the latest operating system being developed by Microsoft. However, the Korean mobile manufacturer has chosen Android and Tizen Operating system for its device. So, with the available information all we can expect are some major upgrade versions from Microsoft will be available as part of Christmas gift.
